Faithfull Hardwood Marking Gauge

This is a traditional tool that is a part of every woodworker's tool kit. It is used on one side to mark wood so that a mortise and tenon joint can be created using two hardened steel pins. On the reverse side of the gauge is a single hardened steel pin to mark parallel line marks. The mortise and marking pins have been hardened to prevent the pins from losing their point and thus extending the working life of the gauge. A tough wearing thumb screw allows ease of adjusting the head position on the stem of the marking gauge. A brass slide enables the mortise pins to be moved up and down the neck of the gauge.

Features

  • Double pins adjustable to approximately 2" for the layout of mortises
  • Combined reliability of wood and solid brass
  • Designed to accurately mark your material prior to sawing, chiseling, or cutting
  • Has a single pin on one side and double pins on the other
