Stiga A1500 Robot Robotic Mower Lawnmower GPS 4G No Wire | Multi-zone

STIGA autonomous robot mowers are cable-free, meaning there is no requirement to lay a boundary wire. The installation is virtual and the perimeter can be adapted anytime. With the patented AGS technology, the robot can plan mowing sessions intelligently. You have an overview of your robot using the STIGA.GO app.

  • STIGA Active Guidance System predicts GPS signal availability and mowing efficiently
  • 4G connection and STIGA Cloud for constant communication
  • Cable-free. Installation is virtual and simply done via the STIGA.GO App
  • Mowing efficiency via systematic cutting patterns
  • Full control via STIGA.GO App. Integrated with Alexa
  • Free data connectivity included for the lifetime of your robot.

Intelligent mowing plan

Thanks to patented AGS technology, STIGA A 1500 autonomous robot mower learns and memorises satellite orbits, signal strengths and where signal blockages will exist at any given time of the day - updating its sky map every day. This means that it can plan exactly where to mow, when to maintain accuracy, and more importantly, keep on mowing.

Constant communication via STIGA Cloud

To work with GPS RTK technology, the robot needs an uninterrupted connection with its reference station. This connection happens through 4G data traffic and a constant communication between the robot mower, the STIGA Cloud and tyhe reference station. STIGA A 1500 autonomous robot mower only needs one reference station, which is included with the robot.

A battery dedicated to garden care

With STIGA’s patented ePower battery at its heart, STIGA robot mowers are engineered to mow the lawn, they are suitable for, in just a few cycles a day.
It is born garden-specific, engineered to resist long and continuous gardening sessions.
STIGA robots’ ePower battery is built on premium lithium ion batteries, which contain chemistry optimised for reliability and durability.

Fully adaptable perimeter

Being cable-free, you just need one finger to modify the virtual perimeter for your STIGA A 1500. You can also control other functions of the robot, such as excluding zones from cutting sessions and setting stay-away times.

What is AGS?

Engineered for precision accuracy, the STIGA A 1500 autonomous robot features STIGA's unique patented Active Guidance System (AGS) technology. Whilst other autonomous mowers may lose signal or be affected by obstacles in built-up areas, requiring intervention to complete the mowing cycle the STIGA A 1500 autonomous robot mower can predict the GPS signal quality at different times of day and intelligently plan mowing paths in advance to ensure it can mow uninterrupted when the signal is strongest.

STIGA Go App

STIGA A 1500 knows exactly when, where and how to cut your grass to keep your lawn healthy giving you and your family more time to enjoy your garden. The installation is fully virtual, meaning the working perimeter can be set through the app. If your garden layout should change, you can simply update the new cutting area and perimeter using the STIGA.GO App.

STIGA ePower battery

Equipped with our long-lasting STIGA ePower battery, the STIGA A 1500 can reliably cut up to a 1500 sqm lawn in just two cutting sessions a day. The next session will always start where the previous one finished, so the robot can care for the whole lawn area by cutting different zones every day. To preserve lawn's health we reccomend scheduling just 2 cutting sessions a day; however, the scheduling is fully flexible.

Maintainence

Excellent sound insulation keeps motor noise within the autonomous robot mower's outer shell. For days when you have people over for a party, you can use the app’s stay-away setting to tell the robotic lawn mower what areas to avoid and at what times. When it comes to maintenance and cleaning the sturdy outer shell can easily be removed without any tools and it’s also safe to clean using a garden hose.

If you need to clean the machine's body with a direct waterflow ensure to keep the robot in its working position (horizontal, wheels downwards). If you are just cleaning the blades, use a brush. No direct waterflows should be used when the robot is upside-down.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the STIGA autonomous robot lawnmower work?

Our autonomous robot mowers cut the grass within a virtual boundary. The perimeter is set via the App, meaning there is no boundary cable. The STIGA autonomous robot mowers don't need a physical perimeter wire, as they are guided by GNSS-RTK signal, combined with the predictive STIGA AGS technology. The robot is a maintaining mower which means it does not collect grass, but instead scatters the grass clippings on the lawn that then decompose acting as a natural fertiliser. Programmed to trim the lawn at scheduled intervals, it automatically knows when to return to the charging station.

What is the AGS technology installed on STIGA autonomous robot mowers and how does it work?

STIGA’s patented Active Guidance System technology ‘learns and maps’ the dynamics of your garden, along with the patterns of GPS Satellite blind spots, as the robot moves throughout the day. This way, it allows the robotic lawn mower to plan cutting sessions ahead, knowing exactly when and where to cut, in order to never lose signal and avoiding the risk of stoppages. You don't need to intervene or do anything; after a learning phase (usually 3 days after activating the robot mower), the robot mower will have mapped both your lawn and the sky above it, knowing exactly when and where satellite signal is strong enough for it to mow uninterrupted.

Why does the autonomous robot mower need a reference station?

STIGA autonomous robotic lawn mowers work with RTK-GPS technology. RTK-GPS technology uses a fixed datum point called a ‘Base Station’ - what we call ‘Reference Station’. The reference station tracks signals from as many GPS satellites as possible in ‘real time’ to establish its own global location. The reference station, which will be located in your garden, and the robot mower are in constant communication, allowing the robot mower’s location to be accurate to within 1 and 4 centimetres. The reference station and the robotic lawn mower communicate via 4G cellular data signal.

Can a STIGA autonomous robot lawn mower work at night?

Yes, STIGA autonomous robotic lawn mowers could potentially mow at night, but we strongly recommend to have them working only during daylight hours, possibly in the suggested cutting sessions (the STIGA.GO app will recommend them for you, depending on your lawn's dimensions). As grass is very humid at night and the garden is occupied by nightlife, such as small insects or hedgehogs, we recommend for both nurturing lawn health and respecting the ecosystem to not schedule cutting sessions overnight.
