How the shelf is fixed matters more than how it looks, because most bathrooms are tiled and drilling tile is the step people want to avoid. Three approaches cover it. A wall mounted glass shelf is the neatest and takes least visual space, but it needs fixings into the wall. A hook over caddy hangs on the shower door or screen and needs nothing at all, so it is the answer in a rented property or where the tiling is not to be touched. A freestanding tier unit stands on the floor and moves whenever you need it to, which also makes it the only option in a bathroom with no suitable wall. Corner units are worth considering first in a small bathroom, because a corner is usually dead space and a 2 or 3 tier corner basket turns it into storage without narrowing the room. Wire construction drains and dries, which is why it dominates in-shower storage where a solid shelf would pool water. Glass suits outside the shower, beside a basin or mirror, where drainage is not the issue and the look is. Check the height of tall bottles against tier spacing before buying, as shampoo bottles defeat a lot of caddies.
