Brushes & Tools

The finish on a paint job owes as much to the brush and roller as to the paint, and this range is arranged around the surface being covered. Brushes run from one and two inch cutting-in brushes for edges and frames through two and a half inch handy brushes to five piece sets, with separate gloss and emulsion sets because the bristle suited to an oil-based gloss is not the one that lays off emulsion well. Rollers cover four inch mini frames and sleeves for doors and small panels, nine inch short pile polyamide sleeves for walls, microfibre for a smoother lay-off and fabric sleeves in packs where a job runs over several days. Preparation is the part people skip and shouldn't: scrapers, wire brushes, window and glass scrapers, edge trimmers, paint and varnish stripper, dust sheets and paint pots.

Fleetwood supplies most of the brush, roller, sleeve and dust sheet range, alongside Petersons for edge trimming tools and replacement pads, Rustins for paint and varnish stripper, Roughneck for wire brush sets, Bihui for scrapers and Faithfull and Dosco across glass scrapers and general brushes. The main departments underneath are Paint Brushes, Paint Rollers, Painting Tools, Sleeves and Brushes.
