LEGO Disney

Disney is a licensed theme spanning decades of films, so the practical way to choose is by which film the child actually knows rather than by set size, because recognition is what drives play here. The range divides into three formats that suit different ages and budgets. Buildable character models are single figures rendered at a larger scale, such as Stitch or Winnie the Pooh, and they are display pieces as much as toys, appealing to older children and adults who grew up with the film. Castles and playsets are the big-box format, giving rooms, doors, furniture and multiple minifigures so a child can act out scenes, and these are the ones most often asked for by name. Small animal and duo sets are the entry point, pairing one or two characters at pocket-money scale, and they work well as an add-on or a first Disney set. Pixar titles sit within the same theme rather than separately, so WALL-E and the Up characters appear alongside the princess and Frozen ranges. Piece counts and age markings vary widely across the theme, from small sets buildable in minutes to display models marked 18+, so read the box rather than assuming Disney means young.

LEGO supplies the range. Castles and playsets cover Elsa's Ice Castle and Snow Ride Adventure, the Arendelle Frozen Castle, Cinderella's Animal Friends Castle and Belle and the Beast's Enchanted Castle. Buildable characters cover Stitch and Scrump, Winnie the Pooh, WALL-E and EVE, Angel, Heihei and Kevin and Dug. Smaller sets cover Lucky and Penny from 101 Dalmatians and Ariel and Flounder's Birthday Music Fun. For other themes see LEGO Friends and LEGO City.
