Laptops Sale

Laptops for Sale

Every laptop currently reduced at Heavins is on this page. Cheap laptops are the largest search in Irish computing after the bare category term, and the reason is straightforward: for most people a laptop is for email, browsing, streaming, banking, college work and the occasional spreadsheet, and that has not needed an expensive machine for years. What matters is matching the specification to the work rather than buying the biggest number on the label.

Three things decide whether a laptop at a reduced price will still feel fast in three years. RAM is the first and the most important: 8GB is the realistic floor now, and 16GB is what keeps a machine comfortable with a dozen browser tabs open. Storage is second, and the figure to look for is SSD rather than capacity, because any solid state drive boots and loads in seconds where an older mechanical drive takes a minute; 256GB SSD is enough if your files live in the cloud, 512GB if they do not. The processor is third and the one people overweight. An Intel Core i3 or a Ryzen 3 is genuinely sufficient for everyday work, i5 and Ryzen 5 give headroom, and anything above that is for video editing or heavy multitasking rather than for browsing faster.

Screen size is the other real decision. 14 inch is the portable choice for college or commuting, 15.6 inch is the standard and the most common size on offer, and 17 inch is a desktop replacement that rarely leaves the house. Check the resolution as well as the diagonal, because Full HD is standard and an HD panel at 15.6 inch looks noticeably soft. Chromebooks are worth considering at the value end: they run Chrome OS rather than Windows, boot in seconds, need almost no maintenance and suit anyone whose work happens in a browser, which is a good deal of school and college work.

Laptop prices move for predictable reasons, which is what makes a sale worth watching rather than guessing at. New model years arrive in spring and autumn, so the outgoing generation is cleared at exactly the moments most people are buying, in late August for the start of college. A reduced machine from the previous release is usually the same chip and the same screen in a slightly older chassis, which is the cheapest real saving in computing.

Black Friday Laptop Deals

Expect the sharpest cuts on the everyday 15.6 inch Windows machines and on Chromebooks, with less movement at the premium end. Stock at a given price does not last, and the machines that sell out first are the ones under 500 euro. Prices on this page are live all year, so there is no need to wait for an event. The deepest cuts of the year do land in one window though. Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday 27 November and Cyber Monday on Monday 30 November, and for that weekend the laptop reductions are gathered on Black Friday Laptop Deals, with every category in the shop together on Black Friday and Cyber Monday Deals.

Reduced machines here come from Asus across the Vivobook and Chromebook ranges and Acer on Aspire, with Samsung, HP and Lenovo across the wider computing range. For the full laptop range with buying guidance rather than only the reductions, see laptops, and for a lighter machine for browsing and streaming look at tablets.
