9ft Christmas Trees

9ft Christmas Trees

A 9ft Christmas tree, around 2.75m tall, is a large artificial Christmas tree for double-height rooms, entrance halls with a high ceiling, stairwells and big open-plan living spaces. At 9 foot, floor space matters as much as ceiling height, so measure the spread as well as the drop and leave room above for a star or angel. The Kensington Fir stands 270cm with a 170cm diameter and 3,416 mixed PE and PVC tips; its PE tips come in two tones of green for a real-life look, and the strong tips are made for hanging baubles of various sizes. The Snowy Dorchester Pine reaches 274cm with a 172cm spread and 5,094 Feel Real snowy tips, with large cones nestled in the branches and a mix of bristles and shorter needles that gives depth and remarkable realism.

Choose green for a traditional 9ft artificial Christmas tree that takes any colour scheme, or snowy for a frosted, wintry statement that only needs lights and a few decorations. Getting a tree this size into position is easier than it looks: the Kensington Fir and Snowy Dorchester Pine each use hinged branches that drop into place for easy assembly, and each comes with a folding metal tree stand, so there is nothing extra to buy before it goes up. As artificial trees they hold their shape year after year with no needle drop and no watering.

9ft trees come from Puleo, maker of the Kensington Fir, and National Tree Company, maker of the Feel Real Snowy Dorchester Pine. For frosted looks at other heights see Snowy Christmas Trees, or compare 8ft Christmas Trees and 10ft Christmas Trees.

Christmas Decorations

Large trees reward scale. Use bigger and multi-pack Christmas Baubles so the decorations read from across the room, cover the stand with a skirt from Christmas Tree Skirts, and pair the Snowy Dorchester Pine with a snowy 9ft garland from Christmas Garlands for a matching mantel or staircase. Christmas Wreaths and Christmas Ornaments carry the look through the hall.

Christmas Lights

At 9ft the bigger light sets earn their place. The Premier Multi-Action Treebright 3000 LED set in Christmas Tree Lights comes in warm white, white and multi-coloured with a timer, and two sets can be combined on a wide tree. Cluster Christmas Lights add density close to the trunk, Mains Powered Christmas Lights cover the long runs, and Christmas Essentials supplies the extension leads and timers to keep it all tidy.
