Irons & Steam Mops

Everything that uses steam on fabric or floors, from standard steam irons and high-output steam generator stations to handheld and upright garment steamers, steam mops and floor steam cleaners. The two halves share a principle: heat water, force the steam through, and let it do the work that scrubbing or pressing would otherwise do. Wattage on irons runs from 2200W up to 3100W, while steam generators add a separate 1.7 to 1.8 litre tank so you can iron for far longer between refills.

Three formats sit here. A standard steam iron covers everyday pressing, with 2400W to 3100W models such as the Powersteam Ultra, Pearl Glide, Diamond Elite and Fabric Luxe ranges. A steam generator iron pairs a lightweight soleplate with a pressurised base tank and pushes 100g steam shots or more, which flattens heavy creases and linen in one pass. A garment steamer works vertically on hanging clothes, curtains and suits with no board needed, in handheld and upright forms. Russell Hobbs and Morphy Richards carry the bulk of the range, joined by Braun CareStyle and FreeStyle and the Tefal Express Steam+. Wpro descaler capsules keep the tank clear.

Steam Mops & Steam Cleaners

Steam mops clean sealed hard floors with hot steam and a washable pad rather than chemicals, which suits homes with pets and small children. Shark covers the Klik n Flip manual and Smartronic Deluxe pocket mops, the Steam and Scrub automatic mop with Steam Blaster, the Pro Steam Mop and a combined floor and handheld cleaner, with Dirt Grip replacement pads sold separately. Karcher supplies the SC1, SC2 and SC3 EasyFix cleaners, which come with attachments for grout, glass and upholstery as well as floors. Russell Hobbs and Morphy Richards add value mops and a 12-in-1 multi-surface steam cleaner.
