Robotic Vacuums

Robotic Vacuums

The useful split in robot vacuums is not price, it is how much of the work the dock takes off you. A basic robot fills its own small bin and you empty it every couple of runs. A self emptying dock holds several weeks of dust in a sealed bag, so the machine genuinely disappears into the background. The hybrids go further again, dropping a mop pad for hard floors, then washing and hot air drying that pad in the base so it does not sit damp between runs. Navigation matters more than suction: laser mapping builds a plan of the house that lets you send the machine to one room, set no go zones around a pet bowl or a cable, and have it resume where it left off after charging. Suction is quoted in pascals and the numbers have long since passed the point of mattering for household dust, so weigh climbing height over a door saddle, brush design if anyone in the house has long hair, and whether the app is one you will actually open. Battery run time only becomes a real constraint above roughly one hundred square metres, since anything less is usually covered before the robot needs to return and recharge.

eufy leads this range, from the RoboVac and L60 hybrids up to the X10 Pro Omni and the Omni E25 and E28 with self emptying and self washing stations. Dreame runs a parallel range through the L10s Ultra, L40, L50 Ultra and X50 Ultra, weighted towards the fully automated docks. Shark brings the Matrix Plus and PowerDetect models, including two in one vacuum and mop versions on both standard and self empty bases. The wider floorcare range sits in Vacuum Cleaners.

Robot vacuums are where prices have fallen fastest of anything in floorcare, and self emptying and self washing docks that were flagship only three years ago now appear on reduced mid range machines. Black Friday and Cyber Monday bring the deepest cuts of the Irish year in this category, and the models with full base stations are both the biggest reductions and the first to sell out. Prices are live all year, so check what is reduced now on robot vacuums on sale and across vacuum cleaners on sale.
