Setup and Care

Placement and dock setup: Choose a level, well-ventilated location for the PowerDock away from stairs, water sources, and high-traffic areas. Leave 1.5m clearance on all sides for efficient operation. Plug dock into mains supply and fill fresh water tank from the top. Place robot on dock to charge fully (about 3-4 hours) before first use. Dreame recommends cleaning the floor of large debris before the first automated run.

Initial mapping and app configuration: Press power button to activate. The robot will begin LiDAR mapping while moving around rooms. Use the Dreamehome App to monitor mapping progress and edit room boundaries, no-go zones, and restricted areas once mapping completes. Create custom cleaning schedules by room (e.g., living room daily, bedrooms twice weekly). Set preferred carpet modes and mop lift heights for each room.

Routine maintenance and dock upkeep: Weekly: dump waste water tank, rinse fresh water tank, check dock for clogs in spray nozzles. Bi-weekly: remove mop pads and check for salt deposits if you have hard water; soak in warm water if needed. Every 2-3 months: replace the dust bag when full (indicator shows in app). Monthly: remove and clean the main brush by pulling hair from bristles; side brush requires less frequent cleaning. Inspect dock water valves quarterly for mineral buildup, especially in hard water areas; use the included scale inhibitor if needed.

Optimising cleaning and managing edge cases: Enable Pet-Finding Mode if you have pets to locate them remotely. Use Large Particle Boost for pet food and litter scatter. Test carpet detection on your specific rugs—if mop lifts too early or too late, fine-tune via app settings. For dried stains, a second pass improves results. Use Intensive Carpet Cleaning for high-pile rugs. Manually remove the mop pads entirely before running on delicate rugs if carpet detection doesn't lift them sufficiently. Keep app updated for latest features and bug fixes.
