Setup and Care

Installation and dock placement: Place the PowerDock on a hard, level floor with at least 1.5 metres of clearance on all sides (for robot navigation). Ensure the dock is near a power outlet and ideally near where you want to empty/refill consumables. The dock station itself measures 475 x 340 x 590mm - confirm space availability before setup. Plug in the dock and fill the clean water tank (1.2L capacity) and detergent reservoir using Dreame's cleaning solution concentrate.

First cleaning run and app setup: Download the DreameHome app, create an account, and pair the robot via Bluetooth or QR code. Select your home layout and allow the robot 1-2 full mapping runs to learn your home's geography and identify rooms. During this period, remove obstacles like toys, cables, and pet bowls to aid accurate mapping. Once mapping is complete, customise suction levels and water amounts per room via the app.

Routine maintenance and consumable management: Empty the dustbin after each cleaning (or let the base station handle this). Check mop pads monthly and rinse if visibly soiled between base station cycles. The base station automatically washes and dries pads, but you can manually rinse them under running water if preferred. Refill the clean water tank and detergent reservoir as the base station prompts (typically every 1-2 weeks depending on cleaning frequency). The dust bag in the base holds up to 3.2L and typically needs replacement every 2-3 months.

Optimising performance and extending lifespan: Clean the LiDAR lens on top of the robot weekly with a soft cloth to ensure accurate mapping. Occasionally inspect wheels and cliff sensors for tangles or debris. Replace mop pads every 2-3 months for optimal scrubbing performance. Schedule off-peak charging during low-electricity-cost hours via the app to reduce running costs. Maintain room customisation in the app as your home setup changes - add no-go zones around pet areas or fragile items to prevent accidents.
