Vacuum and mop in a single pass:

The R2 Nurovi uses Dyson's Twin-capture™ system, which combines a brush bar with a 21,000 Pa suction motor to lift dirt and debris as it moves across your floors. At the same time, the on-board water tank feeds the Reuleaux triangle mop pads to wash the hard floor surface in the same run, so there is no need for a separate mopping session after vacuuming.

Reuleaux triangle pads for thorough floor washing:

Unlike conventional circular mop pads that leave a gap along walls and in corners, the R2 Nurovi's Reuleaux triangle pads are shaped to reach further into corners and closer to skirting boards. The geometry of the pad maintains consistent contact with the floor surface across its full area, giving more even coverage with each pass.

Self-emptying dock handles the maintenance:

When the robot returns to its dock, the station automatically empties the on-board dustbin into a 2.6-litre bag-free collection bin that holds up to 90 days of debris. It then washes the mop pads with water heated to 75°C, dries them using 45°C hot air, and recharges the robot ready for the next session. The dock's clean water tank holds 2.1 litres and the dirty water tank holds 1.2 litres.

LiDAR navigation and app control:

High-speed LiDAR, supported by line lasers and infrared edge sensors, maps your home and guides the robot along efficient, methodical cleaning paths. The MyDyson™ app lets you set schedules, draw no-go zones, set do-not-disturb times, and view 2D or 3D floor maps. The robot connects to your home Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) and requires Bluetooth 4.0 for initial app setup.

Double hygiene filtration and anti-tangle brush bar:

A double hygiene filtration system captures microscopic dust particles as small as 0.1 microns, tested to EN1822-1:2019 and EN ISO 29463-3:2018. The anti-tangle brush bar is designed to remove and release pet hair rather than allowing it to wrap, keeping the brush bar effective across carpets and hard floors alike. A built-in Piezo sensor continuously measures dust particle count and size, automatically boosting suction when higher concentrations are detected.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

Place the docking station on a flat, hard floor surface with at least 1 metre of clearance on either side and 2 metres of open space in front. Fill the dock's clean water tank, then download the MyDyson app and follow the in-app steps to connect the robot to your Wi-Fi network via Bluetooth. Allow the robot to complete an initial mapping run before setting up no-go zones or schedules.

Emptying and refilling the dock:

The dock empties the robot's dustbin automatically, storing debris in the 2.6-litre bin for up to 90 days under typical use. When the indicator prompts you, remove and empty the dock bin. Refill the clean water tank as needed and empty the dirty water tank after each mopping cycle to maintain hygiene.

Maintaining the robot:

Remove and rinse the filters periodically as advised in the MyDyson app maintenance reminders - allow them to dry fully before refitting. Check the Reuleaux triangle mop pads regularly and replace when worn to maintain effective floor washing. The anti-tangle brush bar can be removed and wiped clean if any debris accumulates around the end caps.

Getting the best results:

Pick up loose cables, small rugs, and low-lying obstacles before the robot runs to allow uninterrupted navigation. Use the MyDyson app to set no-go zones around areas such as pet bowls or charging cables. For best mopping performance on hard floors, ensure the clean water tank is filled and the mop pads are fitted securely before each session.
