Shark PowerDetect RV2820VEUK - Self Empty Robot Vacuum Cleaner with LiDAR Mapping

Three detection technologies working together:

The Shark PowerDetect RV2820VEUK combines DirtDetect, EdgeDetect, and FloorDetect in a single robot vacuum cleaner. DirtDetect senses dirtier areas, automatically increases suction, and vacuums in a figure-of-eight pattern to take multiple passes over heavier mess. EdgeDetect uses directed bursts of air to pull debris out from edges and corners into the robot's cleaning path, while FloorDetect senses the floor type beneath and adjusts performance between carpet and hard floors accordingly.

NeverStuck Technology and 360° LiDAR mapping:

The RV2820VEUK uses 360° LiDAR vision to build a precise map of your home, planning efficient cleaning routes room by room. NeverStuck Technology actively lifts and lowers the robot to manoeuvre over thresholds, bumps, and thicker rugs to clean more of your home. When battery runs low, Recharge and Resume brings the robot back to the dock, charges it, and sends it back to finish from where it stopped.

Bagless 60-day self-empty dock with Anti-Odour Technology:

After every clean, the robot automatically empties its on-board dust cup into the bagless auto-empty dock, which holds up to 60 days of dirt and debris before the dock itself needs emptying. An Anti-Odour Technology cartridge traps odours inside the base, keeping the area around the dock smelling fresh. The Anti-Allergen Complete Seal captures and traps 99.9% of dust, allergens, and irritants inside the base, based on IEC standard 62885-2 Cl. 5.14 at 0.3 to 10 microns.

App control and voice integration:

The SharkClean app lets you schedule cleans, set no-go zones, view cleaning maps, and monitor the robot remotely from a smartphone. The RV2820VEUK is also compatible with voice control, so you can start or stop a clean without picking up your phone. With up to 110 minutes of runtime on a single charge, it suits larger homes.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

Place the auto-empty dock on a hard, flat surface with at least 0.5 m of clear space on each side and 1.5 m of clear space in front. Download the SharkClean app and follow the in-app steps to connect the robot to your home Wi-Fi network and complete the initial mapping run.

Maintaining the robot:

The washable pre-motor fabric filter can be rinsed under cold water and left to air-dry fully before refitting. The brushroll and side brushes should be checked regularly and cleared of any wrapped hair or debris to keep suction and brush performance at their best.

Maintaining the dock:

The bagless dock can be emptied by removing the dirt compartment and tapping out the collected debris into a bin. The Anti-Odour Technology cartridge should be replaced periodically - Shark replacement cartridges are available separately. Wipe the dock exterior with a dry cloth as needed.

Long-term battery care:

For best long-term battery health, keep the robot docked when not in use so it remains charged and ready. If storing the robot for an extended period, charge it fully before storage and recharge it every few months to maintain battery condition.
