Interior Tables

Occasional furniture for halls, sitting rooms and bedrooms, and console tables are the largest part of it by a wide margin. A console or hall table is narrow front to back so it fits a corridor without blocking it, and length is the measurement that decides whether it works in the space: 90cm suits a tight hall or a space between two doors, 120cm and 130cm are the common sizes for a standard hallway, and 150cm suits a wide hall or works behind a sofa in an open plan room. Drawer count is the second decision, running from a single drawer up to three, with two door and two drawer versions giving closed storage for everything that otherwise piles up beside the front door. Finishes across the range include teak and dark teak, marwood, oyster, cream, ivory, white, black, warm grey, dark charcoal grey, subtle grey, french grey, olive brown and gold, so a piece can be matched to existing furniture rather than to a showroom set.

Console Tables

The deepest sub-range and the one most people arrive for. Sizes run 90cm, 120cm, 130cm and 150cm in length, with narrow depths made for hallways. The Scroll range covers 90cm with a drawer, 130cm plain and a 120cm version with an antique mirror panel, in ivory, black and warm grey. The Pillars range runs 120cm and 150cm in marwood, and Harman, Parson, Carson, Rivera and Ray cover one, two and three drawer configurations plus two door two drawer units in dark charcoal grey, oyster, cream, white and dark teak. Macquillan adds two and three drawer consoles in olive brown and the Ravi console with drawer and shelf in french grey.

Bedside & Side Tables

Side and end tables for beside an armchair, at the end of a sofa or next to a bed, and a smaller footprint is usually more useful than a larger one since the table only needs to hold a lamp, a cup and a book. The range covers one drawer end tables in the Harman, Parson, Carson, Rivera, Lincoln and Reno lines, the Round Pillar side table in marwood, the Treviso live edge side table, and matched pairs including Avery side tables in gold, Franklin sofa tables in gold and a dark teak set of two. A drawer or lower shelf earns its place here, because it takes remotes and reading glasses off the floor.

Coffee Tables

A smaller range, and worth choosing on proportion rather than style. The table should be roughly two thirds the length of the sofa it serves, with enough clearance to walk past. The Verona and Tripoli coffee tables come in teak, the Ray in dark teak and the Pillars in marwood, with the Macquillan Bold Curve in russell and the Ravi one drawer coffee table in french grey for anyone who wants storage in the same footprint. The Bari nesting tables in teak are the alternative worth knowing about: a set of three that pulls apart when guests arrive and stacks back into one footprint afterwards.

Tray Tables

Tray tables have a lift-off top that doubles as a serving tray, which makes them the practical answer for eating in front of the television or working from a sofa, and the frame folds so the whole thing stores behind a door between uses. The range covers a set of two in gold and the Bruna set of two in black and gold, plus a foldable wooden bed serving tray. Light enough to move room to room one handed, and useful in a small flat or a bedroom where a permanent table would take space that is not there.
