The Garmin Approach Z30 measures distances to the flag up to 400 yards with accuracy to within 1 metre, and to reflective surfaces from 7 to 1,300 yards. The 6x magnification optic and transparent OLED display make it straightforward to lock onto your target quickly and read the yardage clearly, even in bright conditions on the course.

Range Relay - yardages sent direct to your wrist:

Once you range a target, the Range Relay feature transmits that distance via Bluetooth Smart to a compatible Garmin smartwatch or to the Garmin Golf™ smartphone app. The paired device also displays a Laser Range Arc, giving you a visual indication of the pin position and everything in play around it - not just a single number.

PlaysLike Distance and Green Contour Data:

PlaysLike Distance adjusts the yardage figure for uphill or downhill elevation changes, so you are always working with the distance the shot will actually play. A Garmin Golf membership (subscription required, sold separately) adds Green Contour Data on supported courses, showing slope direction, ideal miss zones, and the best side of the pin to approach from.

The Approach Z30 carries an IPX7 water rating, meaning it can withstand immersion up to 1 metre for up to 30 minutes - practical for an Irish round where the weather rarely cooperates.
