Setup and Care

Getting Started:

Download the Ring app on iOS or Android and follow the in-app setup guide. The camera connects to your home Wi-Fi network (2.4 GHz) and is ready to use within minutes. The included screws and wall anchors make wall-mounting straightforward on most surfaces.

Placement Tips:

Position the camera between 2.4 m and 3 m above the ground for the best motion detection coverage. The adjustable mounting base allows you to angle the lens to suit your preferred sightline, whether wall-mounted or placed on a flat surface such as a shelf or deck railing.

Keeping the Camera in Good Condition:

The camera is weather resistant and suitable for year-round outdoor installation. Wipe the lens periodically with a soft, dry cloth to maintain a clear picture. Keep the power adapter connection sheltered from direct pooling water where possible.

App and Subscription:

The Ring app is free to download and provides Live View, motion alerts, and Two-Way Talk at no ongoing cost. A Ring Protect Plan subscription is required to access recorded video history and clip sharing. Subscription plans are available directly through Ring.com.
