Setup and Care

Installation into kitchen housing unit:

The FW582 is designed to be installed into a standard tall kitchen housing unit by a qualified kitchen fitter. The appliance slides into the cabinet, and the kitchen door panel is attached using the door-on-door fitting system. The reversible door hinge can be configured for left or right-hand opening during installation. Ensure the housing unit provides adequate ventilation as specified in the installation guide. Allow the freezer to stand upright for at least 4 hours after delivery before switching on.

Setting the temperature and using Fast Freeze:

Switch on the freezer and set the desired temperature using the adjustable control. The recommended setting for everyday use is -18°C. Before adding a large batch of shopping or freshly prepared meals, activate the Fast Freeze function to rapidly lower the temperature. The freezer returns to normal operating temperature automatically after the Fast Freeze cycle completes.

Organising storage across 5 compartments:

Use the 5 transparent compartments to separate frozen food by category: meat and fish in one drawer, vegetables in another, ready meals and batch-cooked portions in a third, and bread, pastries, and desserts in the remaining compartments. The transparent design lets you see contents at a glance. The ice cube tray fits neatly inside the top compartment.

Cleaning and long-term maintenance:

The frost free system eliminates manual defrosting. Clean the interior periodically by removing compartments and wiping with a soft cloth and mild detergent solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
