Cuprinol 5 Year Ducksback is a wax-enriched, water-based formula that delivers both colour and weatherproofing to rough sawn timber sheds and fences in a single product. The wax-enriched formulation creates a water-repellent barrier that guards against rain, moisture, and general weathering, keeping treated surfaces looking good and structurally sound for up to five years.

Non-Drip and Quick Drying:

The non-drip formula makes application cleaner and more controlled, which is particularly useful when working on vertical fence boards or overhead shed panels. The product is showerproof in 1 hour and dry enough to recoat after 1 hour, allowing you to apply both recommended coats in a single day when conditions permit.

Low Odour and Safe Around the Garden:

As a water-based product with a VOC content of just 0.14 g/L (VOC Band: Trace), Ducksback has a notably low odour compared with solvent-based alternatives. It can be cleaned from tools and brushes with water, and the dried finish is safe to use in areas where plants and pets are present.

Matt Finish with Practical Coverage:

The product dries to a matt finish that suits the natural look of timber outbuildings and garden fencing. At approximately 5 m² per litre, the 9-litre tin covers up to 45 m² in total, making it well suited to larger fencing runs or full shed treatments in two coats. Do not apply below 5°C or in damp conditions, or if rain is expected before the surface has dried.
