Setup and Care

Charging, app setup, and firmware updates:

Charge the Intelligent Flight Battery, Goggles 3, and RC Motion 3 fully before first use via USB-C. Download the DJI Fly app on your smartphone and create or sign in to your DJI account. Connect the Goggles 3 to the app via the USB-C OTG cable and update all firmware to the latest version. Activate the drone through the app. Pair the RC Motion 3 and Goggles 3 following the on-screen prompts.

First flight and flight mode selection:

Begin in Normal mode, which limits speed and provides stability assistance for new FPV pilots. Wear the Goggles 3 and hold the RC Motion 3 in your dominant hand. Tilt your hand forward to move, tilt to steer, and use the trigger for ascent and descent. Progress to Sport mode for faster, more responsive flight once comfortable. Manual mode unlocks full stick-style control for experienced FPV pilots and acrobatic flying.

Recording video and using one-push acrobatics:

Press the record button on the RC Motion 3 to start and stop 4K video recording to the 46GB internal storage. Adjust the field of view between normal and 155° super-wide via the Goggles 3 menu. Use the acrobatics button for one-push flip, roll, or 180° drift during flight. Transfer footage to your smartphone via high-speed QuickTransfer or use the LightCut app for FPV-specific templates and quick edits.

Battery care, propeller checks, and storage:

Use PD fast charging to reduce downtime between flights. Store the battery at approximately 60% for long-term storage and avoid leaving it fully charged or fully depleted for extended periods. Inspect propellers before each flight for chips, cracks, or damage and replace if needed (spare propellers and screws included). Attach the gimbal protector when the drone is not in use. Keep the Goggles 3 lenses clean with a soft, dry cloth and store with the foam padding in place.
