Setup and Care

Assembly, hose connection, and first use:

Assemble the aluminium telescopic handle as directed. Click the 10m PremiumFlex hose into the pressure washer outlet using Quick Connect, and attach the other end to the G 160 Q trigger gun. Connect the garden hose adapter to your mains water supply. Select the Vario Power lance for general cleaning or the dirt blaster for heavy-duty work. Turn on the water supply, then switch on the machine and squeeze the trigger to begin cleaning. Download the Kärcher Home and Garden app for pressure setting guidance.

Using the T 5 surface cleaner and detergent system:

Attach the T 5 surface cleaner to the trigger gun for splash-free cleaning of patios, paths, and driveways. Place the cleaner flat on the surface and push forward in steady, overlapping rows. For pre-treatment, click the Stone and Façade Cleaner bottle into the Plug 'n' Clean port on the machine, apply at low pressure, allow to dwell for the recommended time, then rinse at higher pressure with the Vario Power or T 5 cleaner.

Selecting the right lance and pressure for each surface:

Use the Vario Power lance for everyday cleaning: turn the nozzle to lower pressure for cars, garden furniture, and painted surfaces, or increase for stone, concrete, and brickwork. Check the pressure level on the G 160 Q gun display. Switch to the dirt blaster lance only for the toughest tasks on hard surfaces. Consult the Kärcher app for recommended pressure settings by surface type.

After use and seasonal storage:

Flush clean water through the system for 30 seconds after each use. Disconnect hoses and trigger the gun to release residual pressure. Store accessories on the machine using the on-board parking position. Clean the integrated water filter periodically. Before winter, drain all water from the pump and hoses to prevent frost damage. Store in a dry, frost-free location. Register at karcher.com/register within 28 days of purchase to extend the guarantee from 2 to 5 years.
