Two things decide which doorbell suits a house, and neither is resolution. The first is power. A battery doorbell mounts anywhere in minutes with no wiring, which makes it the only realistic option on a house with no existing doorbell circuit or where the front door is a long way from a transformer, and it needs recharging every few months. A wired model draws from the existing doorbell wiring and never needs charging. The second is storage. Eufy records locally to the doorbell or to a HomeBase rather than requiring a monthly cloud subscription, which is the main practical difference from most competitors and worth weighing over the lifetime of the device rather than at purchase. A HomeBase also extends range and stores footage centrally if you add cameras later. Beyond that, a dual camera model adds a second downward-facing lens that shows the doorstep itself, which is what actually catches a parcel being left or taken, where a single forward-facing camera sees only the caller. Colour night vision beats infrared for identifying clothing and vehicles after dark. A chime is worth checking for, since a doorbell that only notifies a phone is easy to miss indoors. Check the field of view against a narrow porch before ordering.
