Choose to run the C31 on its quick-release 6500mAh rechargeable battery for a cable-free installation that suits renters or properties without existing doorbell wiring. Hardwire it instead using a 16-24VAC transformer (10VA minimum, 40VA maximum) and you unlock continuous 24/7 recording along with a 5-second pre-roll on every motion event.

Local Storage With No Monthly Fee:

A built-in microSD card slot accepts cards up to 128GB, meaning your footage stays on your own device rather than on a paid cloud service. For households that already use eufy's HomeBase S380, expandable local storage of up to 16TB is supported. Cloud storage remains an option if you prefer it.

Instant Alerts and Two-Way Audio:

When someone rings the bell or motion is detected, a live video pop-up appears on your phone via the eufy Security app (iOS and Android). Built-in AI distinguishes between human movement and general motion to reduce false alerts. Two-way audio lets you speak with callers directly from your phone, or set up quick responses and a voice message option when you are away.

Chime 2 Included - Ready to Install:

Setup and Care

Installation:

Download the eufy Security app before you begin. In battery mode, mount the bracket to the wall using the included positioning sticker to mark your drill holes, then attach the doorbell and connect it to the app via Wi-Fi. For hardwired installation, connect to an existing 16-24VAC transformer (10-40VA) at the existing doorbell wiring points.

Chime Setup:

Plug the Chime 2 into any standard mains socket within Wi-Fi range and pair it through the eufy Security app. Choose from 10 built-in sounds and set the volume to suit your home.

Battery Charging:

The quick-release battery pack slides out without tools for convenient recharging via USB-C. Battery life varies depending on motion frequency and recording settings; hardwiring the unit removes the need to recharge.

Weatherproofing and Cleaning:

The IP65 rating means the doorbell handles rain and dust in normal outdoor conditions. Wipe the lens and housing with a soft, dry cloth when needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners or high-pressure water directly on the unit.
