LowFrost technology significantly reduces ice formation in the freezer compartment, meaning you defrost less often and with less effort than a standard manual-defrost freezer. The freezer itself holds 94 litres across three transparent drawers, including a BigBox extra-deep drawer for larger items. VarioZone lets you reconfigure the storage layout to suit what you need to store.

SuperFreezing and practical controls:

The SuperFreezing function rapidly lowers the freezer temperature to protect existing frozen food when adding fresh items, and deactivates automatically once the cycle is complete. An LCD display shows the current temperature and SuperFreezing status, and the unit operates across a wide climate range of 10°C to 43°C, making it suitable for most kitchen environments.

Setup and Care

Installation:

Allow the unit to stand upright for at least 4 hours after delivery before switching on, giving the refrigerant time to settle. The front adjustable feet allow you to level the appliance on slightly uneven floors, and the door can be reversed from right-hinge to left-hinge if needed for your kitchen layout.

Temperature Settings:

Use the LCD display to set your preferred temperatures. Bosch recommends 4°C for the fridge and -18°C for the freezer as standard operating temperatures for food safety. The SuperFreezing function can be activated manually before adding a large batch of fresh or warm food to the freezer.

Freezer Defrosting:

LowFrost technology reduces the frequency of manual defrosting by minimising ice formation, but periodic defrosting of the freezer will still be required. When frost build-up reaches approximately 5 mm, switch off the appliance, remove all food, and allow the ice to melt naturally with towels placed at the base to absorb water.

General Care:

Clean the interior with a mild solution of warm water and bicarbonate of soda; avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on the glass shelves and drawers. Wipe the exterior stainless steel-look doors with a damp cloth, drying immediately to avoid watermarks. Check the door seals periodically to ensure they remain clean and fully intact.
