Wax-enriched protection for rough sawn timber:
Cuprinol 5 Year Ducksback is formulated with wax to deliver a water-repellent finish on rough sawn sheds, fences, trellises, and pergolas. The wax-enriched formula causes moisture to run off the surface, protecting the timber from weathering for up to 5 years. It is not suitable for smooth planed wood, decking, or garden furniture.
Quick-drying and low odour:
The water-based, non-drip formula is showerproof in just 1 hour and fully dry to the touch in 2-4 hours, making it practical for outdoor projects where the weather can change quickly. Low odour and safe to use around plants and pets, it can be applied by brush or roller along the grain of the wood.
Strong coverage from a single can:
A single 5-litre tin covers up to 24m² with one coat, or approximately 8 standard fence panels. For best results, apply 2-3 coats evenly, allowing 2-4 hours between each coat. Do not apply in temperatures below 5°C, and store the tin in dry conditions away from frost.
