The Homebot Glider combines a robot vacuum and mop with a comprehensive base station that manages six key maintenance tasks automatically. After each clean, the station empties the robot's dustbin, washes the dual spinning mop pads with 55°C hot water, dries the mop pads to prevent bacterial growth and odours, and refills the robot's water tank for the next cleaning session. If the robot runs out of water mid-clean, it returns to the station for an automatic refill before resuming from where it left off. The Glider delivers up to 10,000 Pa of suction power, increasing automatically when the ultrasonic sensor detects carpet beneath the robot. This hot wash and dry cycle runs after every clean without any user input.

Setup and Care

Station placement and initial mapping:

Position the base station against a wall on a flat, hard surface with clearance on each side for the robot to dock and undock. Connect the power cable to a mains socket. Fill the clean water tank in the station and ensure the dust collection bag or bin is empty. Place the robot on the station to charge fully. Download the SmartLife app and follow the in-app prompts to connect the Glider to your Wi-Fi network.

Configuring maps, rooms, and no-go zones:

Run the initial mapping session to create a floor plan of your home. Once the map is generated, use the app to label rooms, draw no-go zones around pet bowls, cables, or delicate items, and set cleaning schedules per room. Save the map and repeat on additional floors to build up to 4 stored floor plans. The Glider remembers each map and switches automatically when moved between levels.

Daily cleaning and station maintenance:

Schedule daily or weekly cleaning sessions via the app, or start manually using the app or voice command. The station handles dustbin emptying, mop washing at 55°C, mop drying, and water refilling automatically. When the station alerts you via the app that the clean water tank needs refilling or the dirty water tank needs emptying, attend to it within a few minutes to keep the system running smoothly.

Filter and mop pad replacement:

Replace the mop pads when they show signs of wear or reduced cleaning effectiveness. Clean the robot's main brush and side brushes periodically, removing tangled hair and debris. Rinse the robot's filter under running water every two weeks and allow to dry fully before refitting. Keep the ultrasonic sensor and charging contacts on the base of the robot free from dust and debris for reliable carpet detection and docking.
