Woven Glass Fibre Construction:
This Hotspot stove rope is made from woven glass fibre, giving it the heat resistance needed to maintain a reliable door seal on solid fuel stoves and boilers. The 12mm diameter suits a wide range of standard stove door channels, and the 2m length provides enough material for larger door perimeters or situations where a standard 1.5m pack falls short.
Heat Resistant Up to 650°C:
The rope withstands temperatures up to 1200°F (650°C), making it well suited to the high-heat environment of a working wood-burning stove or solid fuel boiler. A correctly fitted rope seal helps the stove operate at proper efficiency by preventing unwanted air ingress around the door.
Use with Heatbond Fixative:
For a lasting bond, Hotspot recommends fitting this rope with Heatbond Stove Rope Fixative, available separately. Clean out the old rope channel thoroughly before applying the fixative and pressing the new rope into place. Allow the adhesive to cure before the first firing.
