Set 11380 is the first brick-built bicycle in the LEGO Icons collection, comprising 1,015 pieces assembled across eight numbered build stages. The completed model measures 60 cm in length and 36 cm in height, making it a substantial display piece for any cycling enthusiast or LEGO adult builder.

Functional mechanics built in:

The build features a working pedal-and-chain drive connected to a rear freewheel mechanism using a brand-new Technic Gear 20 Tooth Ratchet (part 7961), allowing the rear wheel to spin freely when the pedals are turned - just as a real road bike coasts. The front wheel steers smoothly, and the included rear wheel-lift stand holds the bike upright while the drivetrain remains fully operational for display.

New LEGO moulds throughout:

This set introduces several parts new to the LEGO range, including the Tyre 241 x 12 (part 7970) - the largest-diameter rubber tyre LEGO has ever produced at 241 mm - and the Wheel 224 x 12 Segment (part 7978), a 12-piece segmented rim system in Titanium Metallic finish. A new Technic Gear 64 Tooth (part 7861) also makes its debut here, the largest regular spur gear in the Technic range.

Designed for display as well as building:

The model includes derailleurs, brake calipers, clipless pedals, a 72-link flat silver-metallic drive chain, a removable water bottle, and a rear light. There are no stickers anywhere in the set - every part is plain and undecorated. The instruction booklet contains an introductory section on road cycling and how the LEGO interpretation was developed.
