Setup and Care

Initial charge and Bluetooth pairing:

Charge the Boom 3i fully via USB-C before first use. Press and hold the power button to switch on. The speaker automatically enters Bluetooth pairing mode on first use. Open your device's Bluetooth settings, select Soundcore Boom 3i, and pair. Download the free Soundcore app on iOS or Android for access to the 9-band EQ, lighting modes, and smart features. Update to the latest firmware via the app for the best sound quality.

Using PartyCast 2.0 and TWS stereo pairing:

To pair multiple speakers, press the PartyCast button on each Boom 3i to link them together for synchronised playback across all units. For TWS stereo mode, pair two Boom 3i speakers to create dedicated left and right channels for a wider, more immersive soundstage. Switch between modes via the Soundcore app or the physical controls on the speaker.

Water use and floating playback:

The Boom 3i is fully IP68 rated for submersion in fresh and salt water. When placed in water, the speaker auto-rights to float upright with the drivers facing forward. After water use, activate the Buzz Clean function in the Soundcore app to shake out trapped water, sand, and debris from the speaker grilles using low-frequency vibrations. Allow the USB-C port to dry fully before charging.

Cleaning and long-term care:

Rinse the speaker with fresh water after saltwater exposure to remove residual salt. Use the Buzz Clean feature regularly after beach and outdoor use. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Store in a dry location with the USB-C port cover closed. Keep the detachable strap secure during water use to prevent loss of the adjustable plastic clamps.
