The BL1850B is the 5.0Ah pack, which is the standard working capacity for a full day, and its onboard fuel gauge shows remaining charge at a glance rather than leaving you to guess. The DC18RD twin port charger takes two packs at once and is multi-voltage, so it covers both 14.4V and 18V batteries; charging in pairs is what keeps a cordless setup moving when one tool is heavy on the battery. Amp hours set runtime and voltage sets power, so a higher Ah pack does not make a tool stronger, it simply runs it for longer between charges.
