Twin motor extraction with top and rear venting:

The Airstream AIRTVH60BLACK is a 60cm visor-style cooker hood finished in black, built with twin motors to draw steam, grease, and cooking odours out of your kitchen. It fits standard 60cm hob cabinets and mounts directly to the wall or between overhead cupboards, with both top and rear ventilation outlets so you can route the ducting whichever way suits your kitchen layout.

120mm ducting and installation:

This hood uses a 120mm diameter ducting outlet for both the top and rear vent. If your existing wall vent or ducting run is 100mm (4 inch), you will need a 120mm-to-100mm reducer adaptor, which is not included in the box. Where external ducting is not available, the hood can also run in recirculation mode using two carbon filters (sold separately), which clean the air and push it back into the kitchen.

LED lighting and controls:

Built-in LED lighting illuminates the hob surface while cooking, using less energy than the tungsten bulbs found on older visor hoods. Three speed settings are controlled by simple push buttons on the front panel, so you can adjust the extraction level to match whatever you are cooking.

Easy filter maintenance:

The aluminium grease filters are washable by hand in warm soapy water, so there is no ongoing replacement cost for ducted installations. For recirculation mode, two carbon filters are required and should be replaced every 3 to 6 months depending on how often you cook.

Setup and Care

Installation:

Mount the hood to the wall or between overhead cupboards at a minimum height of 650mm above an electric hob or 750mm above a gas hob. Attach the 120mm vent collar to the top outlet and connect to your ducting run. For rear venting, remove the rear blanking plate and connect the duct directly. The fitted 3-pin plug connects to any standard socket or fused spur.

Ducting considerations:

This hood requires 120mm ducting. If your existing vent or ducting is 100mm (4 inch), a 120mm-to-100mm reducer adaptor will be needed (not included). Keep the ducting run as short and straight as possible for the best extraction performance, and avoid reducing the diameter where you can.

Filter care:

Wash the aluminium grease filters by hand in warm soapy water every 4 to 8 weeks, depending on how often you cook. If running in recirculation mode, replace the two carbon filters every 3 to 6 months to maintain air quality.

General cleaning:

Wipe the outer surfaces with a soft damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers on the black finish. Keep the button controls free of grease buildup by wiping after each use.
