Setup and Care

Positioning:

Allow at least 50 mm of clearance on either side and above the unit for ventilation. The ASL1442VPS is designed for indoor kitchen use only - the minimum safe operating temperature is 10°C, so a heated kitchen or utility room is the right location.

First use:

Stand the appliance upright for at least 4 hours before switching on, to allow the refrigerant to settle after transit. Once running, allow 2-3 hours for the interior to reach the correct temperature before loading with food.

Cleaning:

Wipe the interior with a solution of warm water and bicarbonate of soda using a soft cloth - avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Clean the door seals regularly with a damp cloth to keep them airtight. The stainless steel effect exterior wipes clean with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild washing-up liquid.

Ongoing care:

The frost-free system handles freezer maintenance automatically, so no manual defrosting is required. Use the Holiday mode when the unit will be empty for an extended period - this keeps the freezer running while reducing fridge energy consumption. Check the door seals periodically to ensure they remain in good condition and close fully.
