Reliable gas cooking with safety built in:

Every burner on the PBP6B5K60 is fitted with a flame failure safety device that automatically cuts the gas supply if the flame goes out unexpectedly. Push and turn the sword dial to ignite, and the integrated ignition means no separate lighter is needed. Burner output ranges from 1 kW on the economy burner up to 3 kW on the high-speed front-left burner, giving a practical spread for simmering, frying, boiling, and sautéing.

Cast iron pan supports across the full surface:

The continuous cast iron pan supports run across the entire hob, allowing cookware to slide smoothly from one burner to another without lifting. Rubber feet on the supports keep them stable during use. The frameless stainless steel surface sits flush with the worktop cut-out for a tidy finish.

Sword dials designed for ease of use:

Bosch's sword dials have a raised centre grip and wider spacing between each control, making them straightforward to operate and easier to clean around. The controls are positioned to the right-hand side of the hob. No wi-fi, no app - just direct control of each burner.

Flexible gas connection, including LPG:

The hob is preset for natural gas but comes supplied with an LPG nozzle set, so it can be converted for bottled gas use if mains gas is not available. It is also biomethane-ready, making it compatible with renewable gas supplies. Installation requires a Gas Safe registered engineer; a gas hose is not included.

Setup and Care

Installation:

Professional installation by a Gas Safe registered engineer is required. The hob fits a standard 60 cm cut-out (560 x 480 mm); worktop thickness must be at least 30 mm. The power cable is 100 cm and requires connection by a qualified electrician as no plug is pre-fitted.

LPG Conversion:

The hob arrives preset for natural gas. If connecting to bottled gas (28-30 or 37 mbar), use the LPG nozzle set supplied in the box. Conversion should be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

Cleaning the Hob Surface:

The stainless steel surface wipes down with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The cast iron pan supports can be removed for thorough cleaning; allow them to cool fully before handling. Avoid abrasive cleaning pads on the stainless steel surface to maintain the finish.

Burner and Ignition Care:

Keep the burner crowns and ports clear of food residue to maintain even flame distribution. The ignition electrodes should be kept dry; if an electrode becomes wet, allow it to dry before attempting to ignite.
