The PVQ81AH26E combines four induction cooking zones with a fully integrated ventilation system in a single 80 cm unit, removing the need for a separate cooker hood entirely. Steam, grease, and cooking odours are drawn down through the hob and filtered at the source, keeping your kitchen air cleaner without losing overhead cabinet space.

Carbon black matt finish:

Bosch's Matt Design uses a carbon black matt glass-ceramic surface that is specially engineered to minimise the appearance of everyday scratches and fingerprints. The frameless construction and front-facing extraction grille give the hob a flush, uninterrupted look across the worktop.

PerfectFry Plus and CombiZone flexibility:

PerfectFry Plus uses an automatic temperature sensor to regulate heat during frying, reducing the risk of scorching without constant monitoring. CombiZone allows two adjacent cooking zones to be merged into one larger zone, accommodating griddle pans, fish kettles, or any oversized cookware that spans the 80 cm width.

Smart controls and Home Connect:

DirectSelect touch controls sit along the front panel for straightforward zone and power selection across 17 variable power levels per zone, including 9 main and 8 intermediate steps. AutoOn extraction and filter system:

AutoOn automatically activates the ventilation when a cooking zone heats up and continues running for up to 12 minutes after cooking finishes in ducted mode, or 30 minutes in recirculated mode. The integrated stainless-steel grease filters use 12 filtration layers with a black top layer and achieve 94% grease filtration efficiency. The included cleanAir odour filters provide approximately 360 hours of cooking time before replacement is needed.

Setup and Care

Installation:

The PVQ81AH26E fits into a 750 mm wide niche with a minimum worktop thickness of 16 mm. The hob supports both ducted extraction (to an external vent) and recirculated operation using the included cleanAir odour filters and telescopic slider. Optional connection kits (HEZ9VDKR1, HEZ9VDKR0, HEZ9VDKE1) are available separately for ducted and partly-ducted setups. Professional installation by a qualified electrician is recommended given the 7.4 kW connected load.

Cleaning the hob surface:

The carbon black matt glass-ceramic surface is best cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner once the surface has cooled. Bosch's Matt Design finish is formulated to keep everyday marks less visible, reducing the frequency of heavy cleaning. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh solvents to preserve the matt texture.

Maintaining the grease filters:

The stainless-steel grease filters can be removed and washed by hand or in the dishwasher on a regular basis, depending on cooking frequency. Keeping the filters clean maintains extraction efficiency and helps prolong the life of the cleanAir odour filters.

Replacing the odour filters:

The cleanAir odour filters have an approximate lifespan of 360 hours of cooking time in recirculated mode. Replacement filters are available from Bosch and from authorised stockists. In ducted mode, odour filtration is handled by the external duct and the odour filters are not required.
