Haier's T-ABT® (Tourmaline Automatic Antibacterial Technology) circulates tourmaline and cordierite mineral ions through the fridge air to eliminate up to 99.9% of bacteria, a claim independently certified by VDE (certificate N° ID.40046454). The Air Surround system distributes cold air laterally across shelves rather than blasting it from one direction, independently tested to retain up to 99% of food taste and juiciness after seven days. The HumidityBox crisper drawer uses a plant fibre membrane to hold humidity at 90%, keeping fruit and vegetables fresh for twice as long as a standard drawer - also VDE certified.

Setup and Care

Positioning the appliance:

Allow a clearance of at least 50 mm above and 25 mm at each side to ensure adequate ventilation. The unit must stand on a firm, level surface capable of supporting 118 kg. Leave the appliance to stand upright for at least 4 hours before switching on if it has been transported on its side.

First use:

Wipe the interior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent before loading food. Set the fridge to 4°C and the freezer to -18°C as a starting point, then adjust using the external control panel to suit your household's needs. Register the appliance on the Haier website within 28 days of purchase to activate the extended warranty.

Routine cleaning:

Clean the interior with a solution of warm water and bicarbonate of soda every few months; avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on the glass shelves or door panels. The HumidityBox crisper drawer lifts out for easy cleaning under the tap. Wipe the door seals regularly with a damp cloth to maintain a good seal and keep running costs down.

Water dispenser maintenance:

Refill the internal water tank as needed and rinse the tank with clean water every two to three weeks to keep the dispenser hygienic. The hOn app can send reminders and usage tips to help you manage the appliance over time.
