The DX440 uses Portwest's Titanmill Pro Stretch shell fabric 93% polyester and 7% elastane at 270 g/m² to deliver 4-way stretch in every direction. The stretch crotch gusset reduces stress at the crotch seam, and the high-rise back waistband with side elastication keeps the trouser in place whether you are crouching, climbing, or stretching overhead.

16 Pockets, Including Detachable Holsters:

Storage is a key strength here. The DX440 carries 16 pockets in total, with two detachable zip-off holster pockets made from CorePro fabric (87% nylon, 13% elastane) for durability where it matters most. Side, rear, and multi-functional thigh pockets round out the layout, and a D-ring handles keys or an ID card without taking up pocket space.

Knee Protection Included as Standard:

The pre-bent, top-loading two-tier knee pad pockets meet EN 14404:2004+A1:2010 Type 2 Level 0 when used with compatible knee pads, and a free pair of knee pads ships in the box. Adjustable leg length runs from Regular 31" to Tall 33", so the fit can be tuned once the knee pad position is confirmed.

Durability Built Into Every Seam:

Triple stitching runs throughout, with bartacking at all stress points and webbing belt loops for extra robustness. The contrast panels use Titanmill Plus Ripstop (65% polyester, 35% cotton ripstop weft stretch), which adds abrasion resistance to the high-wear areas without adding bulk. Lightweight, flexible HiVisTex Pro reflective tape on the rear lower legs adds low-light visibility without the weight of a full hi-vis garment.

UV and Care Rating:

The shell fabric carries a UPF 40+ rating, blocking 98% of UV rays useful for outdoor trades work in summer months. The trouser is machine washable at 40°C; drip line dry only, and do not tumble dry, bleach, iron, or dry clean.
