Setup and Care

Wi-Fi connection and initial station scan:

Connect the mains adaptor and switch on the radio. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect to your home Wi-Fi network. Once connected, the Stream 219 will automatically scan for available internet radio, DAB+, and FM stations. Browse and save your favourites to the 60 available presets (20 internet, 20 DAB, 20 FM) using the preset buttons on the front panel.

Setting up Spotify Connect and Bluetooth:

For Spotify Connect, ensure the radio and your smartphone or tablet are on the same Wi-Fi network. Open Spotify on your device, start playing music, and select the Roberts Stream 219 from the available devices list. For Bluetooth streaming, activate Bluetooth pairing mode on the radio and connect from your device's Bluetooth settings. Download the free Oktiv app for additional smartphone control.

Using USB playback, AUX input, and headphones:

Insert a USB media device containing MP3 or WMA files into the USB-A port to play your music library directly through the radio's stereo speakers. The same port charges your smartphone or tablet during listening. Connect external audio sources such as a TV or CD player via the 3.5mm AUX input. Use the 3.5mm headphone socket for private listening at any time.

Battery use and general care:

For portable use, insert 6 x AA batteries (not included) and carry using the aluminium handle. Rechargeable AA batteries are recommended for regular portable use. Set the dual alarms and sleep timer via the on-screen menu for bedroom or office convenience. Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Keep the speaker grille free of dust for optimal sound quality. Store in a dry location when not in use.
