Gardening

This part of the garden range is about growing and maintaining rather than sitting out, and it splits into three jobs. Growing covers planters and pots from small novelty designs through to 33cm, 50cm, 55cm and 70cm slate grey outdoor planters, plus greenhouses and polytunnels with steel frames and replacement covers for extending the season. Feeding and treating covers lawn weed, feed and mosskiller, path and drive weedkillers and total weedkillers in one, two and five litre sizes, including pump-and-go formats that need no separate sprayer. Working the ground covers hand trowels and forks, pruning saws, spreaders and utility carts. On weedkiller, the distinction that matters is selective against total: a lawn treatment kills weeds and leaves grass, while a path treatment kills everything it touches.

The range mixes Irish and specialist garden names, including Hygeia for lawn feeds and weedkillers, Roundup for total and path treatments, GardenSure for polytunnels, greenhouses and spreaders, Tierra Verde and Gardag for planters, Smart Garden and WGP for decorative pots and ornaments, Bahco for pruning saws and Green Blade for carts. The main departments underneath are Pots & Planters, Garden Chemicals, Garden Hand Tools, Lawn Care, Plant Food and Wheelbarrows & Carts.
