Home maintenance is the upkeep that only becomes urgent when it is left, and it groups into three jobs. Safety is the one to settle first: optical smoke alarms, fire blankets and extinguishers, sold individually or as a three-piece kit, because a smoke alarm is the single cheapest protection in the house and has a stated replacement life rather than lasting indefinitely. Pest control is the second, covering mouse and rat traps in self-set, multi-catch and wooden designs, bait blocks and grain, ant bait stations, fly and wasp sprays, bug zappers and ultrasonic repellers rated by coverage area. Laundry drying is the third, spanning rotary clothes lines up to 50 metres with soil spears, replacement line refills, winged airers and heated airers. Car care and jump starting sits alongside.
