DJI Osmo Action 6 Adventure Combo - a Versatile Action Camera for Outdoor Creators

A Larger Sensor with Variable Aperture:

The Osmo Action 6 uses a 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensor with a variable aperture ranging from f/2.0 to f/4.0 - the first action camera in its class to offer this level of exposure control. In bright conditions you can stop down for sharpness; in low light you can open up the aperture alongside SuperNight mode to capture clean 4K/60fps footage where other cameras struggle. The sensor delivers a maximum photo resolution of 7,168 × 5,376 pixels and supports 10-bit D-Log M for post-production colour work.

8K Video and Smooth Stabilisation:

Video options range from 8K at 30fps right down to 1080p at 240fps for slow-motion work, with 4K at 120fps available in 4:3 ratio and a maximum bitrate of 120 Mbps. RockSteady 3.0 and HorizonSteady keep the horizon level even during fast movement, while the 4nm chip enables up to 32× super slow motion via frame interpolation. For social media creators, 4K Custom square format lets you capture and reframe footage in a single shoot.

The Osmo Action 6 is waterproof to 20 metres without any additional housing (IP68 rated), operates in temperatures as low as -20°C, and carries 50 GB of built-in storage alongside microSD card support up to 1 TB. The 1,950 mAh Extreme Battery Plus charges to 80% in 22 minutes and delivers up to four hours of recording at 1080p/24fps. The Adventure Combo includes three batteries and the Osmo Multifunctional Battery Case 3, so you can rotate and charge batteries on location without stopping.

Dual OLED Screens and Audio:

A 2.5-inch rear OLED touchscreen (326 ppi, 1,000 cd/m² peak brightness) handles framing and playback, while the 1.46-inch front OLED (331 ppi, 800 cd/m²) lets you monitor yourself when shooting vlog or selfie content. Three built-in microphones record 48 kHz 16-bit audio, and OsmoAudio support allows connection of an external microphone for improved voice capture in wind or noise.

Setup and Care

Getting Started:

Insert one of the three included Extreme Battery Plus units, power on the camera, and follow the on-screen setup prompts. Connect to the DJI Mimo app via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth for firmware updates and full remote control. MicroSD cards should be Class 10 / UHS-I Speed Grade 3 or faster for reliable 4K and 8K recording.

Mounting and Accessories:

The Osmo Dual-Direction Quick-Release Adapter Mounts allow rapid switching between horizontal and vertical orientations. The Curved Adhesive Base bonds directly to helmets, surfboards, or vehicles using a clean, dry, grease-free surface for best adhesion. The 1.5m Extension Rod threads into the standard 1/4-inch mount on the adapter.

Battery and Charging:

Use the Osmo Multifunctional Battery Case 3 to store and charge all three batteries in rotation. Charge via USB-C using a PD-compatible charger; the charging temperature range is 5°C to 40°C. Avoid leaving batteries fully discharged for extended periods to maintain capacity.

Cleaning and Storage:

After use in salt water or sandy environments, rinse the camera body with fresh water and allow it to dry completely before storing. Clean the lens with a soft, lint-free cloth. Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight when not in use for extended periods.
