Setup and Care

Positioning and Installation:

The HBR410BL8-80 is freestanding and requires a 595 mm wide space with access to a cold water inlet and a drain point. Remove all transit bolts from the rear of the machine before the first use - these are supplied pre-fitted to protect the drum during transport. The machine weighs 67 kg, so two people are recommended for installation.

First Use and App Setup:

Download the hOn App on your smartphone and follow the in-app instructions to connect the machine via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The app walks you through the connection process step by step and gives access to over 60 cycles, smart diagnostics, and care tips from the first wash.

Detergent and Fabric Care:

Use a detergent appropriate to the programme selected - the KG Mode function will adjust the cycle parameters to match the load, so avoiding overloading the drum gives the best cleaning and rinsing results. The Steam Refresh programme can be used between washes to freshen lightly worn items without detergent.

Routine Maintenance:

Run the Drum Clean programme at 60°C regularly to keep the drum hygienic - Hoover recommends this monthly or after a prolonged period of low-temperature washes. Wipe the door seal and detergent drawer dry after each use and leave the door slightly ajar when not in use to allow the drum to air.
