Setup and Care

Getting started:

The S99H arrives with the Round Feet stand and all cables needed for initial setup in the box. The on-screen Tizen OS setup guide walks through Wi-Fi connection, streaming app sign-in, and SmartThings pairing in a single session. VESA wall mounting (300 x 200mm pattern) is straightforward with a compatible bracket if a wall installation is preferred.

Connecting your devices:

All four rear HDMI 2.1 ports accept 4K signals at up to 165Hz, so consoles, Blu-ray players, and PC graphics cards all connect without adapters. The two USB-A ports handle USB media playback and device charging. The optical digital audio output connects legacy soundbars or AV receivers that do not support HDMI ARC.

Screen care:

The Glare Free 3.0 coating cleans easily with a dry or slightly damp microfibre cloth, wiping from the centre outward in gentle circular motions. Avoid solvent-based cleaners, abrasive cloths, or spraying liquid directly onto the panel. The OLED panel benefits from varied content viewing rather than extended static images, and Tizen OS includes a built-in pixel refresh cycle that runs automatically when the TV is switched off.

Smart home and remote care:

The SolarCell Remote maintains its charge by exposure to any indoor light source; placing it face-up on a surface near a window between uses keeps it consistently charged. The SmartThings app on iOS and Android provides full remote control, device management, and routine automation from a smartphone. Samsung Knox Security runs continuously in the background with no user action required.
