Fireside Accessories

Everything an open fire or a solid fuel stove needs between fuel deliveries sits in this range, and it divides into three jobs. The first is tending the fire: five piece companion sets with poker, tongs, brush and shovel, standalone coal shovels in 6.5 and 7.5 inch, hearth and bannister brushes, and spare heads for the sets you already own. The second is carrying and holding fuel: willow log and turf baskets in oval, round and rectangular shapes with canvas liners, wheeled wicker log carts, metal coal buckets with lids, and fire grates in 16 and 18 inch, lipped or basket style, plus replacement finger bars for grates and Grant boilers. The third, and the one people forget until something fails, is maintenance. Replacement stove rope in 6mm, 9mm and 12mm with the heat-resistant adhesive to bed it in will restore the door seal on a stove that has started to burn through its fuel too quickly; fire bricks replace cracked liners; chimney cowls and bird and jackdaw guards stop nests and downdraught; chimney balloons block an unused flue and stop heat escaping; and sweeping rod kits up to 10 metres let you keep a flue clear between visits. Ash vacuums from 1200W with double chamber filtration take out hot ash without spreading dust through the room, and replacement HEPA and bag filters for them are stocked alongside. Firelighters and galvanised ash safes in three sizes complete the range.

De Vielle carries the largest share, covering companion sets, fire grates, coal savers, chimney guards and balloons, stove glass rope and ash vac filters. Sirocco supplies the willow baskets, coal buckets, shovels, stove fans, chimney cowls and the 25 litre double chamber ash vacuum, and Karcher the AD 4 Premium ash vac. Hotspot covers replacement stove rope and Heatbond adhesive, Easi Plumb the fire bricks and chimney sweeping kits, and Dosco the hearth brushes.
