Chimney Cleaning

Chimney Cleaning & Accessories

A chimney cowl like Sirocco's universal model or De Vielle's bird-screened and jackdaw/crow guard versions stops downdrafts, rain and nesting birds getting into an open flue, while a chimney balloon from De Vielle seals an unused fireplace against draughts and heat loss without blocking it permanently - sizes run from a small 300 x 280mm balloon up to a large 775 x 465mm Eco Heatsaver, most supplied with a pump. For actually cleaning the flue, De Vielle's 9-piece kit and Easi Plumb's 10 metre soot strimmer kit and set of 5 drain rods cover a full sweep, and Dosco's 10 inch brush head and De Vielle's chimney and flue cleaner powder in 200g and 500g handle lighter, more frequent maintenance between full sweeps.
