This Hotspot replacement stove rope is made from woven glass fibre and is rated to withstand temperatures up to 600°C. It measures 9mm in diameter and comes pre-cut to 2 metres, making it suitable for replacing worn door and glass seals on most solid fuel stoves and boilers. The woven construction gives a firm, structured seal that maintains its shape over time.
Keeps your stove controllable and efficient:
Fire rope is a consumable component on wood-burning stoves that needs to be replaced periodically to maintain an airtight door seal. A correctly fitted rope seal helps keep the stove controllable, prevents unintended air ingress, and supports the efficient combustion of fuel. This rope is also resistant to oils and most chemical solvents, and is unaffected by material growth.
Straightforward to fit with the right fixative:
Installation involves measuring and cutting the rope to length, removing the old rope and adhesive residue, and bonding the new rope in place. For best results, Hotspot recommends using Heatbond Stove Rope Fixative, sold separately, to secure the rope in position before closing the stove door for the first time. The 2 metre length of HOT220920 provides enough material for most standard stove door or glass perimeter applications.
