Bosch grades its appliances by Series number, and understanding that scale saves a lot of comparison. Series 2 is the entry point with the core function done reliably, Series 4 is the volume seller adding capacity and better programmes, Series 6 brings quieter operation and features such as AntiStain, and Series 8 is the top tier with automatic dosing. The number is the fastest way to compare two machines that otherwise look identical. On washing machines, capacity in kilograms should follow household size, and 8kg suits two to three people while 9kg and 10kg suit a family; spin speed of 1400rpm removes more water than 1200rpm and shortens drying afterwards. Tumble dryers divide sharply by technology: a heat pump dryer recycles its own warm air rather than venting it, so it needs no external duct and uses substantially less energy per cycle, at the cost of a longer cycle time. That is the one specification worth paying for. Washer dryers combine both in one cabinet, and the thing to know is that drying capacity is always lower than wash capacity. i-DOS measures detergent automatically per load rather than leaving it to guesswork. Dishwashers are rated by place settings, with 14 the standard full size, and fully integrated models hide behind a cabinet door.

Bosch supplies the whole range. Washing machines cover Series 4 at 8kg and 9kg and Series 6 at 9kg AntiStain in graphite and 10kg in white and grey, all at 1400 spin. Tumble dryers cover a Series 4 8kg and Series 6 9kg heat pump, both condensing rather than vented. The Series 8 10.5kg washer dryer adds i-DOS automatic dosing. Dishwashers cover a Series 2 14 place freestanding with WiFi and a Series 4 14 place fully integrated 60cm with WiFi. The collection also carries Series 4 fridge freezers in 60/40 and 70/30 at 186cm and 203cm, gas hobs in 60cm and 75cm and induction hobs in 60cm.
