The i-DOS system measures the exact amount of liquid detergent and fabric softener needed for each load, dispensing it automatically based on the weight and soil level of the laundry. Iron Assist Steam Function:

Iron Assist uses steam to reduce creases in freshly washed or previously worn items in around 20 minutes. Running this at the end of a wash cycle or as a standalone function on lightly worn clothing can meaningfully reduce the volume of items that need full ironing. It is available as a dedicated drum programme rather than an add-on spray.

AntiStain and HygienePlus:

Setup and Care

Installation:

The WGG254F1GB is a freestanding front-load machine and requires a standard 220-240 V mains connection. Transit bolts must be removed from the rear of the machine before first use - the installation guide included in the box covers this step in full. The machine can be stacked with a compatible Bosch tumble dryer using a stacking kit (sold separately).

i-DOS Setup:

Fill the i-DOS reservoirs with liquid detergent and liquid fabric softener before first use. The system will prompt refilling when levels are low. Use only liquid products compatible with automatic dosing systems - avoid gel capsules or powder in the i-DOS reservoirs.

Drum and Drawer Care:

Leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open after each cycle to allow the drum interior to air dry. Wipe the door seal regularly with a damp cloth to keep the gasket clean. Running a maintenance or drum-clean cycle periodically keeps the drum fresh between regular washes.

Filter and Hose Checks:

The pump filter should be checked and cleaned periodically to maintain drainage performance - the user manual details the location and cleaning procedure. Inspect the inlet hose connections at intervals to confirm they remain secure and free from kinking.
