Bosch Series 6 Induction Vented Hob with Integrated Extractor and Home Connect

Cooking and extraction in one unit:

The PVQ731H26E combines a 4-zone induction hob with a built-in extractor, removing the need for a separate overhead hood. Steam and cooking odours are drawn downward at the source, which makes it particularly suited to open-plan kitchens where a traditional chimney hood would interrupt sight lines or reduce overhead cabinet space.

AutoOn and DirectSelect controls:

The AutoOn function activates extraction automatically as soon as a cooking zone is switched on, so you never need to adjust the fan separately during cooking. The DirectSelect touch panel with lightline interface gives direct access to all 17 power levels and 11 fan speeds without scrolling through menus. The ReStart function retains your settings for up to 4 seconds after a power interruption, and QuickStart automatically detects which zone has a pan placed on it at startup.

PowerBoost and PerfectFry Plus:

PowerBoost temporarily raises output on any zone, providing up to 50% more energy than the highest standard level for fast boiling. PerfectFry Plus uses an integrated temperature sensor to hold frying temperature at any of 11 preset levels between 70°C and 220°C, reducing the risk of burning or uneven cooking when frying in oil.

CombiZone and extraction performance:

The CombiZone feature merges two circular cooking zones at the front-left into a single elongated zone for larger pots, griddle pans, or fish kettles. In ducted mode the extractor reaches 622 m³/h on Boost, and in recirculation mode the integrated cleanAir odour filter system handles up to 595 m³/h. The liquid collector holds up to 900 ml in total, with a 700 ml lower safety collector and a 200 ml upper unit, protecting the internal components from splashes and boilovers.

Home Connect and installation:

Home Connect Wi-Fi connectivity allows remote monitoring and control via the Bosch Home Connect app on a smartphone or tablet. The unit is hard-wired with a 1.1 m cable included and can be configured for ducted extraction or recirculation in four different arrangements to suit your kitchen layout. Minimum worktop thickness is 16 mm and the required niche size is 223 mm × 560 mm × 490 mm (H × W × D).

Setup and Care

Installation:

The PVQ731H26E is a surface-mount unit requiring a niche of 223 mm × 560 mm × 490 mm (H × W × D) in a 60 cm base cabinet. The hob is hard-wired and should be installed by a qualified electrician. It can be configured for ducted extraction or recirculation in four different arrangements, giving flexibility to suit most kitchen layouts.

Ducting and recirculation:

For ducted installation, a compatible ducting kit (such as the HEZ9VDKR1 or HEZ9VDKE1, sold separately) connects the extractor to an external vent. For recirculation use, the four included cleanAir odour filters and the telescopic slider element are fitted within the unit itself. Replacement cleanAir filters (reference HEZ9VRCR0) are available separately when periodic renewal is required.

Cleaning the grease filters and surfaces:

The grease filters are washable and can be removed and cleaned in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher on a low-temperature cycle. The glass ceramic hob surface should be wiped down with a damp cloth after each use; a ceramic hob scraper is recommended for any baked-on residue. The liquid collector should be emptied and cleaned regularly to maintain full capacity.

General care:

Use only induction-compatible cookware with a flat magnetic base on the cooking zones. Avoid dragging heavy pots across the glass surface to keep it free from scratches. The Home Connect app can be used to check usage history and receive maintenance reminders, helping to keep the appliance in good working order over time.
