Bird Brand Premium Paraffin Oil for Greenhouse Heaters and Lamps
A quality-graded fuel for heaters and lamps:
Bird Brand Premium Paraffin is a Class 1 kerosene that conforms to the BS 2869 standard - the benchmark fuel quality grade for paraffin sold in the UK and Ireland. It is formulated to a low sulphur content and dyed to the Euro Marker specification, making it a cleaner-burning choice than standard or undyed paraffin for use in greenhouse heaters, electric-controlled paraffin heaters, and kerosene lamps.
Lower odour and less residue:
The low-sulphur formulation produces less smoke and fewer deposits on wicks and burners compared with higher-sulphur grades of paraffin. This matters most when a heater is running in an enclosed space such as a greenhouse or shed, where air quality and minimal odour are important during the colder months.
Updated formulation from September 2026:
Stock manufactured from September 2026 onwards will not contain benzene above the level permitted for retail sale, alongside the existing low sulphur content. This reflects Bird Brand's ongoing commitment to producing paraffin that is safe, clean-burning, and compliant with current retail regulations.
Practical 4-litre container:
The fuel is supplied in a sturdy 4-litre container with a secure cap, suitable for safe storage and transport. Bird Brand also offer this paraffin in 1-litre and 20-litre sizes for customers who need a smaller or larger supply.
