Bluetti AC180P Portable Power Station for Camping, Home Backup and Off-Grid Use

Reliable power wherever you need it:

The Bluetti AC180P delivers 1,800W of continuous AC output from a 1,440Wh LiFePO4 battery, giving you enough capacity to run a fridge for up to 20 hours, a CPAP machine overnight, or a range of power tools and kitchen appliances on site or at camp. The LiFePO4 chemistry is rated to 3,500+ charge cycles to 80% of original capacity, making this a long-serving unit for both regular travellers and households keeping it as a backup power source.

Power Lifting Mode for high-draw appliances:

The AC180P includes BLUETTI's Power Lifting Mode, which boosts the output ceiling from 1,800W to 2,700W for resistive heating loads such as electric kettles, hair dryers, and space heaters. This means appliances that would ordinarily exceed a standard portable power station's inverter limit can be used without issue. The inverter is a Pure Sine Wave type, safe for sensitive electronics including laptops, medical devices, and televisions.

Turbo Charging gets you back to full quickly:

With Turbo Charging enabled, the AC180P accepts up to 1,440W of AC input, reaching 0–80% capacity in approximately 45 minutes. For situations where quieter operation matters - a tent, a van, or a bedroom - Silent Mode reduces the fan noise to 45 dB at the cost of a slower 260W charge rate, typically completing a full charge in 4.9 to 5.4 hours. Standard Mode sits in between at around 1,000W input and a 1.7 to 2.2 hour full charge time.

Flexible charging inputs including solar:

The AC180P accepts up to 500W of solar input (12V to 60V DC, 10A, MC4 connector), which can take the unit from 0–80% in approximately 1.5 hours under good conditions. Car charging via the 12V/24V input is also supported, with recharge times ranging from around 6.3 hours at 200W to 12 hours at 100W. Pass-through charging means any devices connected to the output ports continue to receive power while the AC180P itself is recharging.

Eleven output ports for simultaneous use:

The unit carries 11 output ports: 2 AC sockets (230V, 1,800W total), 1 USB-C at 100W, 4 USB-A ports (15W total across two pairs), a 12V/10A car outlet, and a 15W wireless charging pad on top of the unit. The BLUETTI App connects via Bluetooth to allow real-time monitoring of input, output, and battery state, as well as remote control of charging modes. UPS mode is available with a 20 ms switchover time, suitable for desktop computers and basic home equipment during a power outage.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

Connect the AC charging cable to a standard 230V mains socket to begin charging. Download the free BLUETTI App on your smartphone and pair via Bluetooth to monitor battery level, input/output wattage, and to switch between Turbo, Standard, and Silent charging modes from your phone.

Charging with solar panels:

Connect compatible solar panels (12V–60V DC, MC4 connector) directly to the solar input port. The built-in MPPT Controller automatically optimises the power drawn from your panels. For best results, position panels in direct sunlight and check the BLUETTI App for live solar input readings.

Using as a UPS:

Plug the AC180P into the mains and connect your equipment to its AC output sockets. The unit will pass mains power through to your devices and switch to battery power within 20 ms in the event of a mains outage, keeping computers, routers, and other equipment running without interruption.

Storage and maintenance:

For long-term storage, keep the battery charged to between 30% and 80% and store the unit in a dry environment between -20°C and 40°C. BLUETTI recommends recharging to at least 80% every 3 to 6 months to maintain battery health during periods of non-use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this portable power station run an electric kettle, hair dryer, or space heater?

Yes, and this is where the AC180P stands apart from most portable power stations. Power Lifting Mode boosts the output ceiling from 1,800W to 2,700W for resistive heating loads, so kettles, hair dryers, and space heaters that would otherwise exceed the inverter limit run without issue. The Pure Sine Wave inverter also makes it safe for laptops, medical devices, and televisions.

How quickly can this portable power station be recharged?

Turbo Charging reaches 0-80% in approximately 45 minutes via a 1,440W AC input, with a full charge in around 1.3-1.8 hours. Standard Mode takes 1.7-2.2 hours. For low-disturbance environments such as a tent, van, or bedroom, Silent Mode drops fan noise to 45 dB, with a full charge completing in 4.9-5.4 hours at a 260W input rate.

Will this backup power station keep a computer or router running during a mains power cut?

Yes. UPS mode switches the AC180P from mains pass-through to battery power within 20 milliseconds, fast enough to keep desktop computers, routers, and other sensitive equipment running without interruption or data loss. Plug the unit into the mains and connect equipment to its AC output sockets - no manual switching is needed when the power goes out.

Can this portable power station be charged from solar panels?

Solar charging is supported up to 500W, using panels rated 12V-60V DC at up to 10A with an MC4 connector, which is the standard connector on most solar panels. The built-in MPPT controller optimises the power drawn automatically. Under good conditions the unit charges from 0-80% in approximately 1.5 hours via solar. Car charging via a 12V/24V input is also supported, with recharge times from around 6.3 hours at 200W.

Can I recycle my old appliance or electrical item with Heavins.ie?

Yes, Heavins.ie is fully committed to environmental responsibility and participates in Ireland’s WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) recycling scheme. That means when you buy a new electrical item from us, we offer free recycling of your old appliance or electrical item.
