The active ingredient is ferric phosphate (12.5 g/kg hydrated ferric phosphate, MAPP 18982 / PCS 06422), a naturally occurring mineral compound that controls slugs and snails without the environmental concerns associated with metaldehyde-based products.

Safe Around Edible Crops, Children, and Pets:

The pellets can be applied around edible crops including lettuce, cabbage, kale, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, strawberries, and ornamental plants right up to the day of harvest. Children and pets do not need to be excluded from treated areas once pellets are applied as directed. The ferric phosphate compound breaks down naturally in the soil, leaving no excessive slime residue.

How to Apply:

Scatter pellets evenly onto moist bare soil around seedlings and young plants at a rate of 3.8g per square metre (approximately 178 pellets). Apply during late evening or early morning in mild, damp conditions when slugs and snails are most active. Up to 4 applications per growing season are permitted, with a minimum of 7 days between each application. This 920g promotional pack covers approximately 242 square metres.

Showerproof and Long-Lasting:

Once applied, the pellets remain effective for up to 10 days even in wet weather, making them suitable for the Irish climate. For best results, use between February and October when slug and snail activity is at its highest. Store the bottle in a cool, dry place out of reach of children and pets between uses.
